OMNI: Journal of Spiritual Care

Articles and Reports OMNI features articles and reports on the latest issues and developments within the practice of chaplaincy ministry in multifaith settings.

Book Reviews The Journal provides critical reviews of recent books that pertain to the work of chaplains providing spiritual and religious care.Indications are given as to how these books can be obtained from The Multifaith Library.

Pastoral Practice and Education OMNI encourages and supports research on new developments in pastoral practice and education, including innovative models for the training of chaplains, on-call clergy, and volunteers.

Multifaith Certification

"The Ontario Multifaith Council (OMC) has the responsibility to ensure that candidates for positions as Spiritual and Religious Care Providers (Chaplains) have sufficient knowledge and experience to provide and coordinate spiritual care and religious services in a multifaith setting.A certification process has been developed to enable candidates to demonstrate their knowledge of multifaith issues and their ability in working with persons from diverse faith backgrounds."
